partnership with the Pacifica Radio Network, the oldest noncommercial

cutting edge grassroots journalism and arts, as well as broadcasting a
variety of viewpoints that are otherwise unavailable in mainstream
media.

Stop and Go Radio is a community radio station located in Naperville, IL
and serves the communities of Lisle and Naperville Illinois as well as an ever
expanding internet listener base. We are dedicated to public service for fostering
better understanding and dialogue. Pacifica affiliation helps us to
offer news and information, arts, and commentary from around the
world, with a focus on the people and stories behind the headlines.
Stop and Go Radio currently airs Democracy Now!, the award-winning daily news
magazine hosted by Amy Goodman, created and distributed by Pacifica
Radio. Stop and Go Radio will also be introducing a large array of programming
via the Pacifica Radio Network.

Pacifica Network includes 150 independent public, community,
university, low-power, and Internet radio stations throughout the
United States, Canada, Europe, and Africa.
Pacifica Radio owns five of these radio stations in New York City,
Washington D.C., Houston and Los Angeles and other stations belong to
the network as affiliates. Information about the Pacifica Network and
a list of Pacifica affiliates can be found at Pacificanetwork.org.

Pacifica Radio’s national archives, which are seen as one of the
oldest and most important audio collections in the world, includes
recordings of American events and public figures from the past 50
years, ranging from Bertolt Brecht’s testimony before the House
Committee on Un-American Activities to recordings of the civil rights
movement, or presidential conventions.

Pacifica Radio was founded in 1948. It predates National Public Radio
and pioneered listener-sponsored radio. Beginning with KPFA-FM in
Berkeley, CA, Pacifica became known as an outlet for chronicling
social justice movements, uncensored breaking journalism. It has
historically served as a beacon for free speech and artistic
experimentation with the radio medium.
